THREE men - including a father and son - have been charged in connection with the triple killings in Bishop's Stortford, police have confirmed.
Kevan Thakrar, 20, of Lomond Way, Stevenage - who was arrested at Heathrow Airport - is charged with three counts of murder, two of attempted murder and a firearms offence.
His father, Atul Thakrar, 46, also of Lomond Way, Stevenage - who was arrested at an address in Northwood, London - is charged with assisting an offender.
Father and son Keith Cowell, 52, and Matthew Cowell, 17, were shot dead at their home in Plaw Hatch Close, Bishop's Stortford, on the evening of Tuesday, August 28. Tony Dulieu, 33, from Billericay, was also shot dead.
Two women in the house were seriously injured.
A three-year-old girl who was in the semi-detached house at the time was unharmed and was later seen by neighbours being carried out by a police officer.
A police spokesman told the Citizen that the third man charged is the man, aged in his 30s, who was arrested in London on Monday.
He was charged on Tuesday and appeared before an unidentified court yesterday (Wednesday) accused of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs.
No other details about the man are being released by the police or the court.
A police spokesman said: "The identity of this person is currently withheld to protect the integrity of this case."
Two other men who were arrested at an address in Stevenage on Thursday, August 30, have been released on police bail to report back to police at a later date.
