BISHOP’S Stortford Running Club had two representatives in the Mob Match to mark the completion of this year’s midweek road race league.

Janet Howes completed the 9km, hilly Trent Park course in 45mins 25secs, while Scott Pollack finished in 39mins 27secs.

The run was followed by the results for the series, with Bishop’s Stortford achieving fifth team overall, with the ladies team third and the men fifth. Howes was first lady in the V55 age category.

Meanwhile, Lars Hyllested had a successful outing at the Milton Keynes Triathlon on Sunday. In the standard distance (1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run) organised by Big Cow events, he placed first in the 50-54 age category with a time of 2hrs 10mins.

Elsewhere, the club had two runners in different events on Sunday.

Greg Hart competed in the Herongate 10k, near Brentwood, and finished the hilly course in a time of 42mins 55secs, while Peter Allen overcame windy and undulating conditions to complete the Dartford Half Marathon in a time of 1hr 39mins 17secs.
