Nursery nurse Rebecca became the sixth person to be evicted from the Big Brother house.
The 21-year-old from Coventry was voted out by the public ahead of Mohamed and Darnell.
As host Davina McCall announced the result to the housemates Rebecca was embraced by a dismayed Luke, with whom she had enjoyed a brief - if rocky - romance in recent days.
Earlier, viewers had seen the couple cavorting in the pool before Rebecca upset the 21-year-old from Wigan by kissing Mohamed during a drinking game.
Luke later told her: "It bothered me. I know it shouldn't have. I'm just disappointed."
The result was a relief for Darnell, a 26-year-old London-based songwriter, who had earlier clashed with fellow nominee Mohamed, claiming he persistently badgered him for cigarettes.
Darnell had received the most nominations - six - while the others received five each.
Mohamed, meanwhile, was pleasantly surprised by the result. He had told Big Brother in the diary room that he feared eviction. "I think I might be going," the 24-year-old toy demonstrator from London had said. "If not me, then it's probably Rebecca."
He claimed Rebecca's romance with Luke was a ploy to encourage viewers to keep her on the show. "I think she pulled him last night as a cheap escape," he said.
In a straw poll, the housemates had picked out Luke as the likely winner of the show. Mohamed and Rebecca were the housemates they thought would be "most hated" by the public.
